Responsibilities:

• Attends to repairs of damaged/cracked surfaces, which may include gypsum work, plastering, stonework, block work, walls and floors, ceramic tiling and marble works.
• Attends to repairs and painting of all surfaces, walls, floors, facades, ceilings and equipment both indoor and outdoor with either enamel, emulsion or other special paints as required to match existing finish.
• Attends to varnishing of items such as doors, windows and furniture.
• Responsible for preparation of surfaces prior to painting or varnishing.
• Carries out spray painting of equipment, furniture or related surfaces as required.
• Responds to guest maintenance requests within 15 minutes of receipt of the same.
• Ensures that the supplied uniform is clean and in good repair. Always maintaining a clean and tidy appearance before entering guestrooms or public areas.
• Ensures that plant room, workshop and related areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Observes prescribed safety standards. Helping maintain safe conditions for self and others.
• Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.

 Skills and Requirements:

• Secondary school certificate and/or vocational training in painting & decorating
• 2 years’ experience as Painter in 5 star hotels
• Knowledge of various construction materials and their appropriate usage
• Knowledge of various paints and their application for specific jobs
• Skills to adapt paint mixture to match existing surface
• Knowledge of spray painting.
