Assistant Terminal Operator Jobs in Dubai, UAE
About the job
To assist in carrying out tasks relating to loading, pipeline transfers and discharge of petroleum products within the terminal / airport facility, to practice good maintenance and housekeeping relating to terminals equipment and facilities and to assist under supervision with truck loading operations with the objective of maintaining smooth and safe operations as per approved standard operating procedures and HSE standards.
Key Accountabilities
Operations:
- Assist Terminal Operator Fitter with product receipt and discharge operations, pipeline transfers to connect and disconnect loading arm, product sampling, tank farm lining up, hourly quality checks etc.
- Directly involve in truck loading operations, to connect and disconnect loading arm, checking truck tanks are empty to avoid any contamination.
- Under supervision, participate in the transfer the product with tank farm and check that the product is circulated in the tanks.
- Assist in tank gauging and product sampling in safe manner.
- Assist in tank heating operations for safe starting and monitors the operations.
- Help in pigging operations and monitors the tanks pressure and product levels.
- Assist in the process of draining water from the tanks.
- Act as team member for Firefighting and as a fire fighter.
- Assist with monthly maintenance activities.
Qualifications / Requirements
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of petroleum products and equipment, Terminal Operations
Education:
- Secondary Education
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience within a similar role
- Experience in the Oil & Gas Distribution Industry preferred
Competencies:
- Effective communication skills.
