Job Description
To operate plant and other associated equipment as directed by the Island / Project Supervisor, working supervisor, or senior management. All work to be done to high standards with regards to their own safety and that of others
• Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company operating safety policies and procedures
• Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and in a safe manner
• Lubricate, set up and inspect the equipment prior to operation
• Conduct Vehicle / Equipment daily inspection and complete the inspection form
• Assist the Efficient C team in the yard duties as required.
• Undertake other work as directed by the Island / Project Supervisor.
• On driving work, ensure that all transportation operational procedures are followed.
• Identify any faults on vehicles/ Equipment and ensure that these are entered on a daily check list and service action request is raised.
• Follow safe working practices at all times.
• Help to identify ways of continually improving the way work is done at the depot.
• Follow the Company Health and Safety Policy as defined in the Company Management system
• Ensure preventive maintenance is carried out on the vehicles in line with company procedures.
Requirements
• High school or any industry relevant trade school diploma
• Clean UAE License at 4 / 8 level (Heavy tractor license for Forklift & Excavator drivers or Heavy Vehicles for Super sucker drivers)
• Valid Basic Offshore Survival Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET)
• Operator certificate in a relevant discipline (e.g., Forklift – Excavator)
• Proven experience in a similar role of minimum 5 years of remote or offshore experience.
• Experience in a similar role within the oil & gas or energy industries
• Working within drilling waste or process industries
• Good interpersonal and communication skills in English (Verbal & Written)
• Ability to work to a high standard at all times and follow operational instructions
• Capability to work well with staff at all levels
• Dedicated to promoting a positive image of the company
• Competent in applying defined systems of work
- Work Location – Abu Dhabi Offshore
- Rotation – 60/30
- Experience: 5 years of offshore experience.
