About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant – General Cashier and Receiving Clerk to join our Finance team in Jumeirah Living Marina Gate. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
• Handling general cashiering, all cash transactions, and control of all the cheques and international payments
• Preparing Daily Cash transactions report and forwarding it to the Finance Manager/Assistant Finance Manager
• Handling receiving in the receiving area and forwarding it to departments
• Posting invoices in the Goods Receiving system-ERP
• Performing all duties as assigned by the Finance Manager/Assistant Finance Manager
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Essential:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent from an accredited and renowned University
• Minimum 2+ years of work experience, preferably within the hospitality industry or in a Finance department that handles a high volume of work
• Strong understanding of key financial and accounting processes (accounts payables, accounts receivables, collection cycles, reconciliation etc.)
• Strong knowledge of financial control, compliance, and reporting
• Good knowledge of and practical experience in software applications, databases, Microsoft Office suite and analysis tools.
