Roles and Responsibility
• Act as a liaison between employer and employee, overseeing employee relations.
• Develop new, innovative employee retention initiatives to foster our development towards becoming an Employer of choice.
• Update employees with any changes to the company’s policies, labor laws and regulations.
• Responsible for the administration and regular update of employee files and making sure it complies with the UAE labor law. This includes tracking of employee progress, probation, promotions, recognitions and policy violations and document those accordingly.
• Oversee and handle the Employee exit process for non-managerial roles, conduct Exit Interviews and handle all exit related formalities.
• Work with Public Relation Officers to manage timely processing of work permit, visa requirements of the UAE.
• Plan and facilitate workshops for new employees and support line managers in induction, orientation and briefing programs and ensure that new hires are enrolled in the training department competence management system. This includes facilitating processes to ensure compliance to Company joining formalities including safety critical medical formalities and role and responsibility briefing by Line managers for new employees.
• Manage onboarding and exist process, suggest improvements and drive them to implementation.
• Manage enrollment of employees to applicable Insurance schemes including dependents where applicable.
• Manage the renewal of current and new employees Visa and emirates ID with assistance from the Public Relations Officers. This entails tracking all related activities diligently in order to avoid any penalties.
• Work with Recruitment team on onboarding new joiners. This includes initiating the visa and travel arrangements when required, and managing all onboarding paperwork up to welcoming new joiners to the company.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders (admin and IT) to perform the necessary onboarding for new joiners. This includes configuring new employees’ laptops with their business email addresses. This also entails ensuring that necessary documentation are generated and received in order to successfully enroll the new employee in the Company.
Desirable qualifications, skills and experience
Academic Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science or Arts from a recognized reputable institution
Professional Qualifications:
• Knowledge of UAE Labour Law
• Knowledge of HR data based systems
Experience:
• Min. 2 years’ experience in general HR, preferably in the UAE.
• Experience in producing company policies.
• Experience in advising on a range of generalist HR and employee relations issues.
• Demonstrable success of working in partnership with managers to deliver innovative HR solutions that meet business needs.
• Experienced in full range of operational HR-related tasks.
Other Skills:
• A mature, numerate person of good character able to work in an international environment
• Educated to a good standard with a proven ability to work in diverse environments
• Analytical skills for problem solving
• Excellent communication, conflict solving and relationship skills
• Arabic and English language (speaking, writing, reading) essential.
