What you will do: –

Description of Accountability:

Commercial

• Identifying and understanding the components that make up the cost of the project to the contractor.
• Monitoring and control of cost during the pre-contract stages
• Variations/ varied works bill validation and certification
• Identifying deviations tender drawings versus as-built drawings from Budget
• Managing cost overrun in tender drawings from Budget.
• Identify efficiencies for framework agreement/ bulk contracting of store roll out.
• Successful project final account/ commercial BQ reconciliation and closeout
• Liaison with Al Futtaim Group Commercial Procurement Team
• Applying value engineering process in Tender BoQ items

Tender Management

• Assisting projects team in Contracting companies
• Technical, commercial, and financial evaluations
• Managing pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) and Contractor interview and contractor facilities inspection
• Preparation of standard tender documents and inviting
• Tenders, managing technical and commercial queries, during the tender process • Analysis and recommendations of received tenders • Attend design and project meetings whenever required • Liaise with Group Commercial Procurement for online bidding and offline negotiations for all fit-out projects.

Procurement Management

• Prepare ‘Request for Proposal’ documents for Architectural, Joinery and MEP related items for Procurement manager and admin teams – maintain the Al Futtaim formatted documentation.
• Additional procurement tasks to be carried out in close coordination/ communication with brand project managers and Al Futtaim Corporate Governance/ spend management policy.

Contracts Management

• Supporting team in carrying out the contractual mechanism, by providing all the project details, financial, timeline, terms, etc

Required Skills to be successful:

• Producing standard Bill of Quantity Documents for Retail Fit-out Projects
• Ability to create standardized tender documentation.
• Commercial assessments of received bids.
• Evaluation and recommendation of the received bids
• Post Contract Variation claims review and approvals
• Ability to manage business relationships with Contractors and internal stakeholders.

What equips you for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree holder in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Fit-out projects in the GCC
• Projects Tender management for Fit-out projects in the GCC
• Working knowledge and proficiency with CAD and Office software
• General Knowledge and on-line resources on MENA Market Rates.
