Merchant Sales Specialist Full Time

Job Purpose:
The incumbent will collaborate closely with the Merchant Relationship Manager to boost company’s acceptance across assigned territories through market surveys, lead generation, and conversion efforts.

• Achieve monthly and annual merchant signing and DBV targets for both point-of-sale and online
  merchants.
• Increase card acceptance in the assigned territory.
• Conduct onsite market surveys and approach potential merchants for signing.
• Convert non-accepting merchants to accept.
• Drive DBV volumes through prompt activation of new merchants.
• Plan and execute a daily/weekly schedule for territory visits.
• Educate SE staff on card acceptance procedures and fraud prevention.
• Review monthly signing and DBV reports.
• Identify and resolve operational issues with merchants.
• Address objections related to discount rates and payment speed, and sign hold-outs.
• Recommend merchants for marketing campaigns and advise on account cancellations.

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in merchant acquisition / sales.
• Strong presentation, people management, and interpersonal skills.
• Solid product knowledge for effective card promotion and sales.
• In-depth understanding of the geographical area and key businesses.
• Awareness of competitive activities.
• Proficiency in online systems.
• Persuasive skills to address and overcome merchant objections.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Arabic preferred
• Valid UAE Driver’s license.
