Job requirements
Responsibilities:
- Paint vehicles
- Prepare panels for painting
- Administer repairs to minor damages
- Ability to color match
- Examine vehicle parts to determine if any need replacement, protection, or sanding to ensure proper painting
- Assess the extent of vehicle repairs, restoration, or customization requests
- Prepare repair or modification cost estimates
- Restore damaged vehicles to their original condition by removing dents, mending parts, removing rust, repairing scratches, and spray-painting panels
- Prepare the surfaces of vehicles or their parts for painting by sanding, filling, and masking to remove any imperfections or debris
- Maintain and clean the painting equipment tools, ensuring that they are in good working condition, and free of contamination
- Comply with all laws pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials
To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills:
- 5+ years of experience as an automotive painter
- Knowledge of automotive painting techniques
- Ability to match paint colors
- Good eye for detail
- OEM certification
