Job Purpose
Operational Requirement for Project Team
Job Responsibilities
- Transporting of project materials from manufacturing plants or stores to respective sites.
- Inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative and periodic maintenance as per dealer recommendations.
- Transportation of Manpower to respective project sites from respective camps as per schedule provided by Transport & Equipment Coordinator.
- Accommodate the transportation requirements of EEE staff as directed.
- Ensure the timely delivery/collection of EEE equipment as directed.
- Organize servicing and maintenance of company vehicle.
- Maintain cleanliness of the company vehicle.
- Vehicle traffic registration and fine payments.
- Purchasing parts & equipment using company petty cash as directed by maintenance engineer.
- Assist the maintenance Team with tasks as required.
- Respond to emergency call outs 24/7 basis.
- All drivers should keep the vehicle records of their allotted vehicles with all the below details.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- For Heavy ‘Bus’ Driver: The ideal candidate for this role should have a heavy-duty vehicle UAE driving licence classification No. 3 Light Vehicle, No. 5 Light Bus, No. 6 Heavy Bus.
- For Heavy ‘Truck’ Driver: The ideal candidate for this role should have a heavy-duty vehicle UAE driving licence classification for Truck – No 4 for Heavy Truck, Heavy Duty Boom Trucks, Trailer Trucks, including No. 3 Light Vehicle, No. 5 Light Bus, No. 6 Heavy Bus.
- Reliable driver with excellent driving skills and understanding of UAE driving laws.
- Having a proven ability to drive a car carefully in a safe and courteous manner, to strict time schedules and in compliance with traffic regulations.
Work Experience
- You should have at least a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a driver. At least a High school graduate who has knowledge and expertise in defensive driving and vehicle operations. You should have excellent communication skills, a good listener and good knowledge of UAE roads.
- Experience of commercial driving and skilled in manoeuvring vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather
- Must have working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems
Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent knowledge of Dubai roads and major landmarks/buildings
- Ability to speak, read and write in English is a MUST
- Preferably some basic Hindi/Urdu/Arabic speaking & writing skills.
