Buyer/Purchaser Full Time

– Perform and complete site procurement commitments in Engineering & Construction project through the several required steps including bidder prequalification, bidder lists, bid solicitation, bid analysis, negotiation, related Approvals and Issuance of Purchase Orders and Contracts
– Key Accountabilities are: Purchase Request Handling, Sourcing & Vendor Management, Tendering, Negotiation & Purchases’ Fulfilment and other Generic Accountabilities.

Roles & Responsibilities

– Review and approve inquiry (RFQ) and receiving quotations form bidders for local & Overseas material purchasing.
– Review bid tabulations for accuracy, bidder recommendation, completeness, and approves selection of suppliers within delegated approval authority.
– Get quotations & Prices, verifying specifications and price, comparison and evaluation ,Quote approvals and finally issuance of purchase orders & Contracts in accordance to company’s rules & laws.
– Analyze and select supplies and issues purchase order; follows-up and expedites and necessary.
– Ensure best combination of material quality, price, payment terms and delivery speed
– Arrange transportation and delivery of In land as well as overseas delivery of materials / shipments to project location.
–  Liaise with delivery and warehouse teams to ensure goods are received on time & ensuring quantity / quality.
– Coordinate with sub ordinates to Ensure proper storage of material and checking deliveries
– Issue Excess Shortage and Damage reports (if any) for purchased materials and services.
– Maintain records of list of local purchasing and local supplies.
– Investigate and qualify suppliers.
– Prepare various reports and to make cost, material and equipment estimates.
– Manage information relevant to arrival of materials at site and their availability at the warehouse.
– Log all Vendors / Materials into the centralized database system for proper tracking and classification and keeping a track record of Soft and Hard copies of Purchase Orders / Contracts.

– Project based procurement experience ideally gained with the Oil and Gas industry or Petrochemical industry is preferred.
– Billing, accounting or purchasing related experience
– Strong maths skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
– Experience in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
– Extensive experience of leading or executing project procurement elements is required.
