About the job
Position Overview
The Yard Foreman is responsible for safely managing the day-to-day operations of the non-rail activities at terminals and for the overall compliance to rules, regulations, and procedures by the Terminal Operator Team.
They are also responsible for the loading/unloading material work-orders with the following responsibilities
Roles and Responsibility
· Order Management
o Create forwarding orders, manage quotations, and propose planning routes
o Calculate carrier costs and customer pricing
o Enter dangerous goods data, and trigger customs checks and dangerous goods checks
o Manually create forwarding settlement documents
· Transport Planning
o Intermodal container stack management through the Terminal Operating System
o Monitor the Intermodal Freight Order and assign appropriate containers to the Intermodal Freight Order, provide additional equipment i.e. gensets for refrigerated containers.
o Monitor the Intermodal Freight Order and assign appropriate container to the Empty Container Delivery Freight Order, provide additional equipment like genset for refrigerated containers.
o Intermodal container on train planning through the Terminal Operating System.
o Monitor First Mile Freight Orders.
o Create and Update First Mile Freight Orders.
o Coordination with Carrier and Customers for First Mile Freight Orders.
o Update any incidental Cost for First Mile Freight Orders.
o Monitor Last Mile Freight Orders.
o Create and Update Last Mile Freight Orders.
o Coordination with Carrier and Customers for Last Mile Freight Orders.
o Update any incidental Cost for Last Mile Freight Orders.
· Transport Execution
o Monitor Freight Orders Execution.
o Update and make any Freight Orders Execution Changes.
o Coordination with Transportation Planner, Carrier, and Customers for Freight Orders Execution.
o Update any incidental Cost during Freight Order execution.
· Freight Settlement
o Verify Freight Order Charges and Generate Freight Settlement Document
o Coordinate with the Carrier and ER Accounts Payable department
o Receive details of Carrier Invoice and Reconcile
o Approve Freight Settlement document to be sent to ER ECC System
o Verify Forwarding Order Charges and Generate Forwarding Settlement Document
o Coordinate with the Carrier and ER Accounts Receivable department
o Send Customer Invoice details
o Approve Forwarding Settlement document to be sent to ER ECC System
- Academic Qualifications:
Standard High School Education

Experience:
· Previous experience of working with SAP Transport Management Systems essential.
- Essential Requirements:
· Advanced level of written and verbal skills in English,
. UAE Driving License,
. Analytical skills for problem solving with ability to use IT systems,
. Ensure compliance with ER Rulebook and applicable Procedures, and Instructions.
