Distribution Controller Full Time

In this role, the Distribution Controller works within the Distribution team in contributing to a key requirement to deliver inspiring and cost-effective distribution capability through GDS & NDC. The candidate will be using enhanced technical skills of distribution methods, lead the projects to implement customers onto the NDC platforms in the most effective way. He / She will also support the GDS operational requirements & contribute to the overall delivery of the GDS strategy.

Accountabilities

• GDS Operational and technical lead for third party partners to maintain uninterrupted 24/7 functions. Analyse and administer GDS contractual pricing conformity by maintaining BIDT optimizer Zeus system.
• Prepare & dispatch monthly BIDT reports to all Country Managements: Implement ADM polices, Monitor & control inventory abusers by coordinating with the global sales teams for Cost recovery.
• Monthly Audit, reconcile and process all third-party invoices Constant research and improvement of airline distribution practices and policies. Manage trade point of sale access controls, media campaigns and terminal display logics based on market demands
• Responsible for the activation of agents and aggregators within the various NDC platforms based on agreed strategic approach. Set-up can either be through an already implemented aggregator or through a direct connection link to Etihad systems.
• Co-ordinate the use of Rich Content through the NDC channel by agreement with relevant stakeholders; create and manage the rich content to maximise merchandising impact and revenue growth.
• Implement the NDC on-boarding project for direct connection; coordinate technical discussions with client and other key internal teams; define set-up requirements for each project and configure in the various tools required. Deliver the on-boarding project through set up of test systems, verification of message quality, ensure secure access to live systems is successful. Finalise and document testing process with sign-off.
• Monitor the Shopping Dashboard, Real Monitoring Tool, GDS reports, aggregators, and agents’ data in both GDS & NDC and the overall performance of the channels within distribution on daily business volumes and proactively locate connectivity, or other issues impacting revenue performance which require immediate action.
• Project manage the implementation on an end-to-end basis with multiple internal and external teams. Bring subject matter expertise to the project to navigate the required milestones for successful roll-out.
• Principal analyst to evaluate, audit, reconcile and process pricing schedules by administering conformity to contractual agreements through accurate and timely maintenance of the BIDT optimizer system.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills will help deliver and then monitor performance with a proactive view of any issues impacting revenue delivery.

Education & Experience

•    Bachelor’s degree holder at a minimum
•    Professional with deep analytical skills with an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset
•    Minimum 2 – 4 years’ experience of distribution processes. Experience within the aviation industry in the areas of Revenue Management would be preferred.
•    Experience & knowledge in the use of airline GDS & NDC systems.
