Key Responsibilities:

• The role of a driver encompasses the safe and effective transportation of staff and visitors as required, the care and maintenance of the vehicle(s) and the transportation of goods & ammunition according to instructions given by respective Department Manager.
• Responsible for driving only authorized vehicles as per his approved UAE Driving License Category only.
• Fully operate and perform pre-trip checks on the authorized and assigned company vehicle (such as Mini or Large Bus, Heavy or Light Truck, Pick-up Car, Heavy or Light Forklift, Construction related Vehicles etc.).
• Responsible for cleanliness of interiors as well as exteriors of respective vehicle(s) assigned.
• Safely transport staff and visitors to and from and within facility as required.
• Safely transport goods & ammunition (if applicable) to and from and within facility as required.
• Maintain an accurate Drivers Log Book, and is accountable for misuse of company vehicles.
• Strictly follow UAE Traffic Rules & Regulations, and to be responsible to bear the full consequences for any violation held by law.
• General logistical duties, including shipping/receiving of parts and materials.
• Regular trips to various other Emirates within UAE for pickup and delivery of persons, goods and items as directed by Department Manager.
• Can be expected to check inventory, do product counts, weigh product, tag product, use a handheld bar code scanner, and inspect items.
• Other tasks could involve wrapping loads, loading-unloading goods onto and off a vehicle and cleaning the respective work locations.
• Maintain vehicles according to safety standards and procedures and carry out assigned vehicles road worthiness, routine checks, tyre pressures, maintenance, servicing and repairs as agreed with Department Manager.
• Awareness of respective vehicle registration records, conduct the testing and renewal of registration card on a timely basis in co-ordination with Admin Dept.
• As directed by Department Manager, move and store inventories of ammunition, explosives and other hazardous materials according to established safety procedures.
• Immediately notify Department Manager & Security Department in case of any kind of accident related to vehicles, ammunition or explosives on site or outside Tawazun Industrial Park.
• To notify Manager that corrective action is necessary regarding any obstacles or danger relating to staff, equipment or environment.
• Perform other tasks & duties as allocated by a Department Manager or Supervisor.

Experience and Education:

• Valid UAE Driving License for light vehicle, heavy truck and Heavy Bus is essential, as per required vehicle category.
• High school certificate/diploma
• 3-5 years of UAE Driving experience.
