Lecturer in English Language Full Time

The Department of Languages and Culture at Ajman University invites applications for 2 full-time Lecturer positions in English beginning Spring 2026. The successful candidates will join a dynamic academic team dedicated to excellence in teaching, innovation in language education, and student success.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• A Master’s degree (MA) in English Language, Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or English for Specific Purposes (ESP).
• Native or near-native proficiency in English.
• Demonstrated teaching experience, preferably in General English, Academic English, or ESP courses.
• Strong command of learner-centered and technology-enhanced teaching methodologies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate courses such as Writing, Public Speaking, , General English, or English for Specific Purposes, as assigned by the department.
• Design and deliver engaging classes and instructional materials aligned with course learning outcomes.
• Assess and evaluate student performance objectively, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Contribute to curriculum and syllabus development, ensuring alignment with program objectives and accreditation standards.
• Prepare and submit ICARs (Instructor Course Assessment Reports), CARs (Course Assessment Reports), and other required documentation in accordance with university policies.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress.
• Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and college events.
• Support departmental and college initiatives
• Ensure compliance with Ajman University’s academic quality assurance and accreditation requirements.
• Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to a collegial and innovative academic environment.
