Mechanical Technician Full Time

Installs, repairs, and maintains pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures. Implements maintenance work orders, organizes resources effectively, and carries out assigned duties to meet required quality standards. Completes all relevant paperwork, responds to and resolves plumbing emergencies, and identifies materials needs, advising the Team Leader/Engineer of critical items.

•Implements maintenance work orders for all work assignments and organizes his resources effectively.

•Carries out assigned duties effectively to required quality standards.

•Completes all reports, correspondence, Work Control documents and other assigned paperwork.

•Responds to, diagnoses, and resolves plumbing emergencies.

•Identifies materials needs for the section and advises/updates Team Leader/Engineer of critical items.

•Evaluates his area continuously, recommends proposals for improvements, new technology, efficiency benefits and system change.

•Ensures effective use of resources at all times and identifies/follows up on the materials required for assignments.

•Implement Sustainable Practices/Policies in Facilities Management operations

•Industrial Training Certificate

Professional Experience:

•Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Healthcare Organization’s maintenance department or similar institution

•Knowledge of basic computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

•Knowledge of Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) standards

•Ability to demonstrate his trade training in a wide range of cross-trade activities

•Ability to read and write English.
