Organic Chemistry Scientist Jobs in Abu Dhabi, UAE
Responsibilities
- Conducting advanced organic chemistry analyses using LCMSMS, GCMSMS, HRMS, and related systems.
- Supervising laboratory technicians and approving analytical results.
- Developing, optimizing, and validating test methods for wastewater monitoring.
- Supporting regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and QA/QC standards.
- Applying statistical tools to analyze data, identify root causes, and resolve issues.
- Maintaining calibration, troubleshooting, and operation of chromatography and mass spectrometry systems.
- Providing technical training and mentorship to laboratory personnel.
Qualifications
- MSc in Analytical Chemistry with specialization in Organic Chemistry (or related discipline).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a chemistry lab environment, ideally wastewater or water testing.
- Proven expertise in advanced organic analyses (OCPs, PCBs, VOCs, SVOCs, PAHs, hormones, PPCPs, drugs).
- Proficiency with sample preparation techniques (SPE, LLE, SPME, Headspace-trap, Thermal desorption).
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC, ISO standards (17025, 9001, 14001), and LIMS systems (Labware).
- Ability to supervise projects, mentor staff, and communicate technical data effectively.
