Job Purpose

In line with vision of being a global trade enabler, DP World seeks to develop multiple business lines to connect and enable global movement of goods. This includes initiatives like ecommerce for buyers to discover what they want to buy, and global logistics to be able to deliver the goods to them.

As a part of its vision to be a global trade enabler, the Cargoes Community platform provides a fast, customer friendly and efficient online services to the port users, partners, and ancillary service providers of DP World’s 70+ terminals. The Cargoes Community platform provides end-to-end visibility and control throughout the cargo/container’s journey across DP World Terminals. Key components of the Community platform include services related to Vessel and Yard management, Vehicle/Truck Appointment management, Manifest and Declaration management, border movements control processes, Reporting and Dashboard, Registration, Subscription, and e-payments.

Our goal is to provide a frictionless experience for all parties in the cross-border supply chain – shippers, suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, logistics service providers. Problems we are tackling include reducing port congestion, optimising truck turnaround times, reducing paper documentation and visits to physical counters, optimising reuse of data to reduce data entry touchpoints etc.

The inhouse product teams work in a fast paced, highly collaborative start up like environment inside a global company.

We are looking for exceptionally business-savvy and technology-savvy product analysts to be a part of these efforts to scope and design products to meet our objectives. You need to be flexible and entrepreneurial, comfortable operating with ambiguity and willing to dive into the details of business processes. You are passionate about the potential customer and societal impact and will challenge the status quo when engaging in a digital transformation conversation. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively with cross-functional peers, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality, exciting, and simple products, and experiences.

Key Accountabilities

• Translate high-level business requirements into detailed technical specs, and aggressively unblock the engineering teams to execute fast
• Prioritize and write user stories; partner with product development team to break things down and plan them into releases.
• Use product usage metrics to refine user stories and iterate to success
• Focus on building value for our business, not just features; develop innovative and unique product offerings by leveraging knowledge of the key market challenges that already exist in competitor products.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication and decision-making, across engineering, testing and design teams
• Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviors in harmony with DP World’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or Technology.
• MBA with Supply Chain or Ports & Terminal experience a big plus.
• 1-3  years of product analysis experience in technology companies with background in international shipping & logistics, Customs & Ports, logistics.
• Very comfortable with Agile Scrum methodology and its associated rituals.
• Understands backlog health metrics and is passionate to constantly find the balance between perfection and pace in drafting backlog stories.
• Strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
• Strong oral and written communication skills to influence others, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, and prioritize with sound judgement.
• Demonstrated ability to turn customer needs and pain points into innovative products. Experience incorporating product and operations feedback to craft long term vision and quarterly roadmaps.
• Business acumen and curiosity to learn and become an expert on a complex product
