Roles and Responsibility:

  • Lead the architectural design and planning of technology systems that support passenger train operations, considering scalability, security, and performance along with the ER Holding team.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance the technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network components, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency as per company policy and procedures.
  • Oversee the integration of all passenger services relevant information systems, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange between components such as signaling, passenger information, and control systems.
  • Ensure that all IT systems and infrastructure have robust security measures to protect them from cyber threats and ensure passenger and systems safety.
  • Design systems that can accommodate the growth and evolution of passenger train services, considering future needs and technologies.
  • Ensure that all technology systems and architecture comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, operations, and maintenance, to align technology solutions with business goals and operational needs.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system blueprints, standards, guidelines, data flows and data lineage.
  • Act as the primary point of contact on information security queries and IT related audits
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in the passenger train industry, evaluate their potential benefits and promote adoption to stakeholders.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in system architecture, design, and implementation in the transportation or railway industry.
  • Experience in managing and implementing within the transportation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and network technologies relevant to passenger train operations.
  • Expertise in security and compliance considerations for critical infrastructure.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to think strategically.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Positive-minded, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
