About the job

Purpose of the Job

To ensure smooth running of all aspects of workshop operations.

Job Accountabilities

• Distribute the work according to the required skills, urgent jobs, and constraints.
• Follow the work progress and ensures high standards of quality workmanship.
• Sets time and cost objectives to the personnel, according to the time expected for the work and to the promise made by the Service Advisors.
• Provide technical support to Technicians.
• Ensure equipment needed for the service are ordered and available to the jobsite in full compliance with schedule requirements.
• Review the technician’s request for parts, and orders from Parts Department.
• Participate in testing of vehicles which were subject to a difficult diagnostic.
• Evaluate the Technicians performance, maintain records and updates the Service Manager.
• Gets informed of parts availability.
• Coordinate with the Service Manager to obtain warranty approvals.
• Lead and drive the work force to achieve the Company’s set QHSEMS objectives and targets.
• Implement safe and environment friendly practices in each work area.
• Ensure that the safety rules are observed; makes sure that the work areas are kept tidy and clean (checks for equipment storage and condition).
• Ensure the optimal use of equipment and avoiding waste of consumables.
• Perform all the activities in compliance with the Company’s QHSEMS and as per the assigned specific responsibilities.
• Carries out any additional tasks assigned (in line with qualifications and ability) by the line manager.

Qualification and Education

Diploma in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience

Minimum 5years of experience in the similar role within the service workshop

Knowledge & Skills

• Fluent in English; working knowledge of Hindi/Urdu; Arabic an advantage.
• Driving license.
