MEP Technician Full Time

What you’ll do:

MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Technician to support the operations and maintenance of our dark store chain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the seamless functionality of all MEP systems, while adhering to safety and compliance standards.

Mechanical Systems

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units and ventilation systems.
• Monitor and maintain refrigeration units to ensure optimal performance and consistent temperature control.

Electrical Systems

• Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution panels, and wiring.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues to prevent downtime or disruptions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on generators and backup power systems.

Plumbing Systems

• Inspect and maintain plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems.
• Repair leaks, blockages, and other plumbing-related issues promptly.

Preventive Maintenance

• Implement and adhere to a preventive maintenance schedule for all MEP systems.
• Identify and address potential issues before they lead to equipment failure.

Compliance and Safety

• Ensure all MEP systems meet local safety and compliance standards.
• Conduct regular safety checks on all equipment and systems.
• Follow company policies and procedures for safe work practices.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance.
• Provide regular updates and reports to the Facility Manager on MEP operations and issues.

What you’ll need:

Educational Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering.
• Professional certifications in HVAC or Electrical Systems are a plus.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in MEP maintenance, preferably in retail, warehousing, or industrial environments.
• Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems and cold storage equipment is highly desirable.
• Valid UAE Driving license is must.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Proficient in using tools and equipment for MEP maintenance and repairs.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
