Provide technical leadership for rotating equipment engineering within FEED and Detail Engineering projects in the Oil & Gas sector.
Define and supervise mechanical design basis, codes, and standards for rotating machinery (pumps, compressors, turbines, drivers, turbines, gearboxes, etc.).
Ensure safety, reliability, and cost-effective solutions across front-end and detailed design phases.
Mentor engineers, manage interfaces with other disciplines, and drive quality and schedule adherence for rotating equipment deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the mechanical design and sizing of rotating equipment and associated auxiliaries for FEED and Detail Engineering.
Develop and review mechanical design basis, equipment specifications, datasheets, and technical bid evaluations for rotating machinery.
Perform and supervise calculations and analyses (e.g., pump head/flow, compressor performance, rotor dynamics, vibration, mechanical seals, bearings, lubrication).
Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO, NFPA) and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate interfaces with process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and civil disciplines; manage vendor and contractor drawings and inquiries.
Lead risk assessments and safety reviews related to rotating equipment (HAZOP/HAZID, LOPA, RAM analyses, MAHV considerations).
