Responsibilities & Duties
The Intern – Mechanical Engineer serves as a developing professional in an engineering design team, developing and finalizing work on specific elements of a project under the direction and supervision of a Senior Engineer or designated senior team member. This role will be involved with Building Engineering Design, BIM Model and Drawing production (Design Brief compliance, completeness & accuracy) , Design co-ordination (within Engineering & Cross Discipline).
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with courses taken in Building Mechanical Engineering related subjects from an accredited University
- Must have graduated within the last 12 months or graduating no later than June 2023
- Successful applicants must have a minimum 3.4 GPA or 2:1 (or equivalent) and above
- Candidates must be currently based in the UAE
- If you hold a Master’s Degree, you must have started it within 12 months of completing the Bachelor’s Degree in order to have continuous education
- Good working knowledge of 3D design software, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Basic knowledge in HAP/IES cooling load calculations software is a plus as well as HVAC & Piping System Design

The Intern Program will run from 26 June – 29 Sept 2023 and is your opportunity to land a permanent position with AECOM.
