MRO Technical Specialist Jobs in Dubai, UAE
About the Position:
We are looking to recruit an experienced Technical Specialist to join Emirates Transport – MRO Team. The MRO Technical Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and expertise in maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities. The specialist ensures that all MRO processes and procedures are in compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and best practices.
Key Accountabilities:
- Defines technical specifications for all MRO assets.
- Evaluates technical offers from suppliers for procurement of new equipment.
- Investigates technical incidents and accidents and propose remediation measures.
- Ensures adherence to the operating plan and assigned responsibilities for self and team.
- Monitors work processes and report key metrics as requisite.
- Engages with the Head of Centers/Units to find areas where processes could be optimized.
- Defines and applies appropriate operating procedures or technology to achieve improved quality of processes, efficiency enhancement, and standards of service.
- Works with internal and external partners (e.g. suppliers, technology vendors, administration and procurement function, etc.) to harmonize quality and efficiency aspects across all technical services Centers/Units through the operational benchmarks and toolkits.
- Reviews and checks engineering drawings, plans, estimates, and reports for completeness, accuracy, and soundness.
- Provides technical support and assistance in the planning, development, and implementation of new venture/workshop guidance documents, and operating procedures and acts as a technical advisor.
- Recommends use of new technologies, cost-saving techniques/materials, and improved quality and safety procedures.
- Ensures proper implementation of external auditors’ recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations, ensures complete and accurate record keeping of process audits, and reviews them.
- Evaluates workshop equipment requisition and prepare evaluation reports and contact suppliers regarding any specification or data sheets of equipment
Expected Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
Experience and Skills Set:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in MRO operations and maintenance.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
- Experience with project management.
- Ability to develop and implement process improvements
- Experience in technical writing and documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
