About the job

• Carryout routine plumbing and piping works on board ships and Platforms.
• Supervise workshop fabrication and fit-up works for piping.
• Liaise with other discipline Foremen/ Supervision to ensure the optimum utilization of available resources, with the overall objective of successful completion of the project.
• Routine checks on equipment, i.e. oil levels, running conditions, break downs etc.
• Assist the Supervisors/ Engineer in planning activities and ensure that all the resource and manpower planning is conducted to meet project requirements.
• Ensure that the workers are properly supplied with machineries, tools, equipment and materials and everything is in proper order and state of maintenance.
• Perform inspections to ensure that the workers performance is up to the set standards.
• Create progress reports on a daily basis and ensure that any significant information is communicated to the supervisor i.e. resource shortfalls, surplus, HSEQ concerns.
• Provide personnel appraisal and training requirement, motivate and develop subordinates.
• Follow the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.

Qualification

• Must be a good all-around Plumber Foreman with knowledge and experience in marine related plumbing works.
• Must be familiar with various piping works viz HDPE, PPR, UPVC, CPVC, GRE, MEPLA, Steel, SS, GI and Copper piping.
• Ability to follow blue prints, drawings and building plans to meet the needs of clients.
• Select and use appropriate tools, equipment, materials and machines.
• Higher Secondary School / ITI.
