Position Overview

As a member of Etihad Rail’s Training and Competency department, the Technical Trainer will provide a range of Safety-Critical and internal training to support the operational needs of Etihad Rail’s workforce. The requirements include carrying out task and risk analysis to identify training needs, designing and developing training materials and delivering training courses in line with Etihad Rail’s training and assurance plan.

Roles and Responsibility

• Analyse, design, develop, and deliver training and competence assessments, technical training and mandatory Health and Safety training to new starters and refresher training as required to current staff, enabling them to continue to work safely and effectively at all times.
• Comply with the internal quality assurance standards of Etihad Rail’s Training Department.
• Ensure that all staff, as identified, achieve and maintain the relevant levels of training and competence following current guidelines to enable them to carry out their designated roles within the project.
• Maintain and update training and competence records within the CMS.
• Provide a high-quality learning experience for all students through developing best practices in learning, teaching and assessment, promoting differentiation, standardisation and continuity.
• Ensure competencies and materials are reviewed and kept relevant and up to date.
• Develop and produce Training Course material.
• Deliver accredited vocational courses in line with skill set and qualifications.
• Contribute towards the review and updating of training and assessment-related policy.

Academic Qualifications:

Desirable to hold a Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) or diploma (e.g., NEBOSH) recognised qualification in Health & Safety.

Professional Qualifications:

• Recognized training qualification (i.e., C&G, PTLLS, TAQA, A1, Certificate of Education)
• Assessor qualification
• IQA qualification

Experience:

• No less than 5 years of proven experience in a Training role
• Competent in modern computer packages and e-learning techniques
• SAP experience preferred

Other Skills:

• Excellent standard of the English language essential
• Previous experience in rail operations and maintenance
• Excellent knowledge of training processes, systems, and challenges
• Arabic language skills are desirable
• A full driving licence is essential

• Work experience in a multicultural environment

Safety Responsibilities

• To comply with those elements of the Etihad Rail environment, health and safety management system and other company documents where specific responsibility is identified with the role or as a general requirement on all employees
