Job Description

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• The SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for the management of the SAP environment. The range of tasks covers the design, planning, setup, and technical hands-on support of the SAP landscape and the interfaces between SAP and non-SAP solutions.
• Responsibilities include:
• Technical support of the BAU (business-as-usual) landscape; configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment.
• Monitoring of work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, disk space, etc.
• Performing SAP maintenance tasks (application of hot fixes, kernel upgrades etc.) across all systems, using a structured methodology
• Configuring and managing the SAP printing subsystem for all SAP instances
• Scheduling and executing the SAP transport system using CHARM and batch management.
• Contribute to access management tasks and the management/ creation of user roles
• Maintaining policies and procedures relating to operation and support of the SAP environment, including change management, including backup/restore, disaster recovery, and audit.
• Participating in the planning and implementation of SAP system upgrades
• Developing and/ or maintaining the system documentation for all SAP instances and interfaces
• Collaborating with the IT infrastructure team on the maintenance of the technical infrastructure reference documents such as technical architecture and interface references
• Supporting the documentation of hardware and software assets
• Implementing and maintaining the CHARM setup in solution manager
• Support of the on-going S/4 HANA implementation program
• Providing of status reports on project tasks and contributing to risk assessments

The position of the SAP Basis Administrator is part of a larger team consisting of SAP Basis and GRC Specialists.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE

• Extensive experience in performing SAP-Basis tasks, with proven track-record in managing SAP S/4 HANA (on premise) systems.
• Solid knowledge of SAP cloud products like SuccessFactors, Ariba, CPI, IBP CPIDS, BTP and their integrations
• 8-10 years of relevant experience.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in information science, engineering or other technical/ scientific disciplines.
