Electrician Full Time

Job Purpose

To work in coordination with the senior electrician to complete the all work orders pertaining to the corrective and preventative maintenance of the VIP workshop ensuring the protection and optimal performance of all VIP assets. To ensure adherence to the policies and procedures from the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), Regulation & Supervision Bureau (RSB) and working directives from the AADC, to ensure all Key Performance Indicators are achieved.

Responsibilities:

• To assist an take direction from the senior electrician to complete all relevant preventative, corrective and general maintenance work orders as logged on MAXIMO. To complete all and various work order sheets through a hand held Personal Digital Assistant (PDA).

• To follow predefined rules and working procedures to complete work orders ensuring adherence to the guidelines of the HSE, RSB and AADC.

• To correct, monitor and follow up all abnormalities and report any failed or damaged equipment (asset) including the potential Root Cause for each failure to the Assistant/Engineer.

• To assist the senior electrician in the attendance of all breakdown and emergency repair and replacements in a timely and effective manner. To inspect the equipment for the VIP AADC Network.

• To coordinate with the senior electrician in the collation of information and discuss with the supervisor issues pertaining to the weekly and monthly reports on the status of the preventative and corrective maintenance repairs of the VIP Section, inclusive of material and equipment usage, and recommendation for future works.

• To monitor the status of the VIP Section and refer all immediate cases to the Engineer or Section Head.

• To report all potential problems to the supervisor for close observation and to mange future action of any reported cases.

• To collate information for the reports pertaining to the comparisons of actual work completion against planned work, to assist the Engineer.

• Ensure that all work procedures are carried out in accordance with AADC System Safety Rules and HSE Roles and Responsibilities Procedure, in addition to the general safety rules and regulations enforced by local authorities.

• Technical Certificate

• 3Years of direct experience working within an Electricity distribution organization.

• Good knowledge of Power Distribution system, testing and protection of equipment and safety regulations applicable for distribution system.

• Thorough knowledge of the testing and protection of equipment.

• A fair knowledge of HSE, RSB and AADC policies, procedure and regulations.

• PC literate, knowledge of MAXIMO, GIS, CMMMS and Microsoft packages is preferable.

• Excellent Arabic and English both written and spoken.

• UAE Driving license.
