MEP Coordinator Full Time

Job Purpose

Ensures execution of MEP requirements of the project as per instruction and program. Monitor and ensure all the project specifications and regulatory requirements are adhered.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensuring that the project MEP work is carried out in accordance with the required quality, cost and time constraints
• Co-ordination and administration of MEP related material, equipment and drawing submittals in accordance to the specifications
• Follow up closely procurement schedule and confirmations of delivery for material and equipment
• Ensuring that MEP work is executed on site in accordance with the contract drawings, specifications, agreed procedures and method statements
• Review, control and approval of MEP subcontractors work procedures and method statements
• Carry out inspections on site and ensure that the installation is in accordance with the specification
• Liaison with the Consultant’s MEP Supervisory Engineer, inspectors and relevant staff
• Ensuring that the MEP subcontractor provides and adheres to the necessary control documentation in an orderly and organized way
• Ensure that As Built Drawings and O&M Manuals and related documentation are prepared, reviewed, submitted and approved in a timely manner and in accordance with contract requirements
• Checking that MEP valuations correspond with progress and checking of variations
• Produce a report of performance of MEP-contractor
• Preparation of coordinated reflected ceiling and builders work drawings.
• Liaison with Govt. authorities for power/water/sewerage as per site requirements.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.

Experience

• 8 to 12 years experience with building/MEP contracting company.

Knowledge & Skills

• HVAC systems installation and operation.
• Knowledge of CCTV and building access control systems.
• Knowledge of BMS(Building Management System)
• Knowledge of MEP construction standards and local authority requirements(application procedure and documentation)
