HVAC System Package Engineer Full Time

Job Scope:

Candidate with a strong background in designing HVAC systems for the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HVAC system design using HAAP software, including both package units and split units, for containerized (fabricated) and concrete buildings. This role requires expertise in ADNOC specifications and hands-on experience in HVAC design and system installations

Key Responsibilities:

• Design HVAC systems for package units and split units using HAAP software (or similar tools like HAP, Trane Trace, or Carrier HAP) for containerized and concrete buildings in the oil and gas sector.
• Ensure designs comply with ADNOC specifications and industry standards.
• Supervise the installation of HVAC equipment, ducting, accessories, and instruments, guiding the installation contractor on-site.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), quantify HVAC system requirements, and prepare RFQs.
• Evaluate RFQs, finalize details, and collaborate with the procurement team to place orders.
• Review and evaluate vendor documents, ensuring they meet the scope of work and specifications, and provide comments when necessary.
• Expedite HVAC vendor deliveries, ensuring timely delivery of equipment to site.
• Support commissioning of HVAC systems both at the yard and on-site.
• Attend progress meetings, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), ensuring equipment is delivered on time and meets specifications.

• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in HVAC system design, particularly in industrial sectors like oil and gas.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Extensive experience with ADNOC specifications and requirements.
• Proficiency in HAAP software or similar HVAC design software (e.g., HAP, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP).
• Strong understanding of HVAC design for both package units and split units.
• HVAC design certifications (e.g., ASHRAE Certified HVAC Designer) are a plus.
• Proven track record in supervising HVAC installations, preparing RFQs, evaluating vendor documents, and managing HVAC procurement and delivery processes.
• Experience in commissioning HVAC systems and attending progress meetings, FAT, and SAT.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
