What you’ll be doing:
The Multi-Trade Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks across various trades such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and general maintenance. This role requires a versatile skill set to handle the repair, installation, and upkeep of facilities and equipment in both residential and commercial settings. The technician ensures that all systems operate efficiently and safely, adhering to safety standards and company protocols while providing timely and high-quality service.
Job Description:
• Maintenance & Repairs: Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across multiple trades, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
• Installation: Install equipment, fixtures, and fittings as required for electrical, plumbing, and other systems.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and infrastructure.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose issues in various systems, identify root causes, and implement effective repair solutions.
• Compliance & Safety: Follow safety guidelines and building codes to ensure that all work complies with legal and operational requirements.
• Documentation: Maintain records of repairs, installations, and maintenance activities, ensuring that reports are accurate and up to date.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, addressing urgent issues to prevent further damage or disruption.
• Tools & Equipment Management: Operate and maintain tools and equipment required for various trades, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Ensure full compliance with the company’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) requirements.
• Stay informed about the QHSE policy, as well as its objectives and targets.
• Adhere strictly to all HSE guidelines, instructions, and procedures.
• Immediately report any hazards, observations, or incidents to the line manager.
Functional/Technical Competencies:
• Proficiency in multiple trades, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manuals for various systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues across different trades.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and best practices in maintenance and repair.
• Competency in using hand and power tools specific to various trades.
Educational Qualification:
• A diploma or certification in a technical trade such as Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, or General Maintenance.
