Radars & Telemetry Instrument Lead  Full Time

Key Accountabilities:

• Work with the relevant test specialist and the client to establish the optimum instrumentation for tests that require the application of tracking radars, electro-optical trackers and telemetry.
• Work with relevant test specialist and the client to establish the correct set up of a flight termination system for the relevant air tests
• With the relevant test specialist and the client, design a test equipment location plan that captures the required data for the test.
• Produce an test procedure that the remote sensing technicians can follow and apply to capture the data at the relevant test.
• Ensure that the instrumentation technicians capture the required data at the relevant test.
• Lead the test engineers and technicians on creating the test reports and format the data to be inserted into these reports for the relevant test.
• Ensure that the remote sensing test equipment is calibrated, maintained and used according to Range documentation
• Maintain a technology watch to ensure that the equipment is being used in the optimum way and that new equipment is planned for as required
• Work with the Engineering Manager to develop the skillsets of remote sensing engineers and technicians with regards to equipment of scope.
