VFD Service Engineer  Full Time

We are seeking a skilled and motivated VFD Service Engineer with a strong technical background in MV/LV Drives, Generators, and Motors. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Siemens systems, including SINAMICS Drives, Masterdrives, SIMATIC STEP7, TIA Portal, and communication protocols such as Profibus and Profinet. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication and customer service skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of MV/LV Drives and related equipment.
• Provide technical support for SINAMICS Drives, Masterdrives, and Siemens HMI systems.
• Utilize SIMATIC STEP7 and TIA Portal for system configuration and diagnostics.
• Analyze system logs and data to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams to provide updates, instructions, and resolutions.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professional service and support.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Manage multiple tasks including scheduled maintenance, urgent repairs, and customer inquiries.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.

Professional Experience:

• 5–8 years of experience in engineering and commissioning of industrial automation and drive system projects.
• Experience working on projects involving multi-cultural, multi-national, and diverse teams.

Technical Expertise:

• Solid knowledge of MV/LV Drives, Generators, and Motors.
• Experience with SINAMICS Drives and/or Masterdrives.
• Proficiency in SIMATIC STEP7, TIA Portal, Profibus, Profinet, and Siemens HMI systems.
• Knowledge of Siemens Protection Relays (SIPROTEC) is a strong advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and their underlying technology, including component selection.
• Strong hands-on experience with Siemens VFDs (S120, G120, Masterdrives, etc.) in both engineering and commissioning.
• Proficient in PLC systems and PCS-7 (DCS).
• Solid technical understanding of Switchgears, Motors, PLCs, HMIs, and PCS systems.
