Assistant Engineer – AUTOCAD Full Time

Job Purpose-

Under general supervision, uses CAD and other drafting tools to prepare multi-disciplinary Fitout design drawings to facilitate tendering and Contractor works execution. Interprets and clarifies Engineers and Architects technical notes, instructions and ensures the completeness and accuracy of all data provided and complies with clients CAD production, layering and numbering conventions.

Job Responsibilities-

• Prepare new design and shop drawings of all disciplines (Civil, Architectural, mechanical, electrical & ELV) supporting Fitout activities. Ensuring service coordination across drawings.
• Obtain and assemble data from various sources to complete architectural, MEP, ELV etc. drawings, visiting job sites to compile measurements, explain drawings to production or construction teams and provide adjustments as necessary.
• Coordinate structural, electrical and mechanical designs and determine a method of presentation in order to graphically represent building plans.
• Validate as Built drawings on site and flag to Technical Subject Matter Experts discrepancies for further investigation.
• On time delivery – liaise with Subject Matter Experts and commit to timescales for document production.

• Architecture.
• A design qualification & certification in AutoCAD.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Fitout design drawings, Engineering Design/Drafting.
• Aviation knowledge.
• Knowledge of MEP services, Architectural and Civil Engineering.
• Knowledge of established technical procedures and professional engineering standards.
• Knowledge of software including; MS Office,CAD, Photoshop.
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge in computer applications and valid UAE driving
  license are essential.
• Knowledge of relevant local and international standards regulations like UBC, ASHRAE, NFPA etc
• Business knowledge/expertise/awareness.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling (Software, Sketchup & Revit) will be advantage.
