The Attendance Officer is to support the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the school management information system (MIS) holds accurate and up to date records on students.
To maximise achievement of students (with a focus on attendance) through high quality:
Administration, organisation and support of systems related to attendance, admissions and student data in accordance with latest regulations, procedures and deadlines laid down by external organisations such as the KHDA and MOE.
Proactively facilitate the use of attendance and admissions data by all staff
Ensure that all relevant attendance, admission and student data is available and up to date on the school management information system (MIS)
To support the Assistant Principal where necessary with Examinations and Assessment Data
Assurance that all relevant attendance, admission and student data is available and up to date on the school management information system (MIS)
Maintain student record folders and files and obtain/send student files from student previous/new school
To ensure all student data is accurate and up-to-date
Process student applications and liaise with the Vice Principals, Assistant Vice Principals to ensure all applications are processed in a timely manner
Ensure all registers have been completed and chase up reasons for absence/missing registers on a daily basis
To assist with the supervision of students on their arrival, monitoring late arrivals, updating late detentions and taking messages from parents with regards to student absence.
To liaise with the Behaviour and Inclusion Team in relation to student absence and make referrals directed by members of the Senior Leadership Team
Support with all aspects of internal and external examinations as required
Produce attendance and admissions reports for use by the Academy and respond to data requests from the Data Manager, members of the Senior Leadership Team and wider support as needed.
Delivery of timely and reliable information in accordance with agreed Academy plans and schedules, including any appropriate reports.
Provide a professional and customer focused service for staff, students and parents/carers in relation to all attendance and admissions queries, issues and data
Be aware of and comply with Academy policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to the DSL.
To contribute to the Academy ethos, aims and development/improvement plan.
To undertake any other duties as directed by the members of the Senior Leadership Team.
Produce student information for and contribute to the organisation of Progress Review Days, Transition Evenings, Parents’ Evenings, Termly reports and Curriculum Evenings
Undertake personal development through training and other learning activities including performance management as required.
Recognise your own strengths and areas of expertise and use these to advise and support others.
Agile approach to work, recognising that the priorities of the organisation are dynamic.
Be a positive role model for students in dress and conduct within the Academy.
