About the job
Purpose of the Job
- Rectify, and repair customer’s vehicles, ensuring compliance with company’s standards while operating in a safe work environment.
Job Accountabilities
- Receive work and job card from the workshop supervisor.
- Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairer within the timeline.
- By receiving the job card, performs each requirement and ticks and signed the checklist upon completion of work.
- If any parts are required to purchase, informs the workshop supervisor.
- Searches for information in the available documentation (technical manuals, repair booklets).
- Identify additional work and non-conformances. Rapidly communicates them to the Workshop Supervisor and writes them down on the Job Card.
- Ensure the presentation of the vehicle viz. resetting of equipment and accessories, cleanliness.
- Applies the manufacturer’s directives and safety rules.
- Tidies up and cleans the work area, and all the tools used (individual or collective).
- Maintain the stock of tools and keep them in proper condition.
- Perform all the activities in compliance with the Company’s QHSEMS and as per the assigned specific responsibilities.
- Carries out any additional tasks assigned (in line with qualifications and ability) by the line Manager.
Qualification & Education
- Diploma/ITI certification.
Experience
- Minimum 2years of experience in a similar role within the commercial vehicles and heavy equipment.
Knowledge
- Working knowledge of English.
- Understand the uses of modern diagnostic equipment.
