Job Description

This job is responsible for performing cardiology cath exams at a technical level. An incumbent assumes responsibility for the safe and proper operation of cardiology equipment including equipment within the cath lab.

Performs Heart Cath examinations, demonstrating competency and proficiency with equipment in the Heart Cath Lab.
Participates in the ordering and inventory of equipment and supplies for the Heart Cath Lab.
Delivers patient care for all age groups while using diagnostic imaging equipment; acts as a liaison between the patient and the cardiologist.
Utilizes equipment and accessories and employs techniques and procedures to protect the patient, self, and others from unnecessary radiation.
Performs general office duties including answering phones, scheduling, filing, and maintaining patient records.
Actively participates in the training of other Cath Lab personnel.
Recognizes that continuing education is vital to maintaining and advancing the profession. Keeps cardiology skills current demonstrating evidence of continuing education to include department meetings, individualized learning opportunities from cardiologists, and related classes.
To follow appropriate international guidelines, DHA regulations & Joint Commission International norms while treating or managing patients as well as while discharging their professional duties.

Post Graduate from an accredited school of Cardiac Technology
1 year of Internship in Cathlab Technology
Current license in country of origin with DHA license to practice in U.A.E.
Two years of recent related work experience as a Cardiology Tech, Interventional/Special Procedure Technologist (or equivalent).
Excellent command of oral and written English. Arabic language advantageous/ desirable but not essential.
Ability to adjust to group practice in an industrial environment.
