Driver Full Time

Key responsibilities

1. Transportation & Delivery

• Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods and products on time, ensuring no delays in scheduled deliveries.
• Collect shipments from Cargo Village and delivery orders from freight forwarding companies as per instructions.
• Ensure all delivery documentation, including Pick Note Gate Pass, is acknowledged by the receiving stores at the time of delivery.

2. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain an accurate daily logbook of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery details.
• Report any vehicle breakdowns or operational issues immediately to the transportation in-charge for timely resolution.
• Ensure proper documentation is completed for all deliveries and collections in compliance with company procedures.

3. Vehicle Maintenance & Safety

• Keep vehicles in excellent working condition through regular checks and preventive maintenance, minimizing downtime and accidents.
• Adhere to all RTA rules and regulations, traffic laws, and company safety guidelines while driving.
• Conduct routine inspections and ensure cleanliness of the vehicle before and after trips.

4. Coordination & Compliance

• Coordinate effectively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and customers with a professional and positive attitude.
• Follow company policies and operational guidelines diligently during all transportation activities.
• Maintain knowledge of all major routes across the UAE to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.

Qualifications & Skills 

• A valid and clean driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle operated, with a clean driving record and no major traffic violations or accidents.
• Previous experience driving for a similar organization or in a logistics/transportation role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE road networks, routes, and traffic regulations.
• Familiarity with RTA rules and compliance requirements.
• Ability to operate different types of vehicles safely and efficiently under varying conditions.
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting for minor issues.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
• High level of responsibility, reliability, and attention to safety standards.
• Physical fitness to handle long hours of driving and occasional manual handling tasks.
