CSCEC ME is recruiting an Estimation Engineer for our Tender Dept in Dubai, UAE.

Position Summary:

The individual responsible to perform cost estimating and pricing activities for project tender commercial proposal. The individual should have experience in applying standard estimating practices, techniques process and procedure in estimating task. Collect, Analyze and communicating with sub trades their pricing to determine the commercial, scope & financial needs of completing a project and organizing bid documentation submission.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze drawing, specifications, and other documentation and prepare the checklist for bid documentation;
  • Raise, compile tender queries for document discrepancies & clarification
  • Prepare and issue RFQ, receive and review supplier and subcontractor proposals, determine the suitable pricing for the special & sub trades.
  • Coordinates with the supplier and subcontractor on all changes in scope, questions, or clarifications regarding the work, during the bidding process.
  • Prep􀀒re detailed breakdown structures (WBS) for. plan of works and define the scope.
  • Prepare cost information and developing cost estimates for substrades; unit rate built up
  • Assembles bid-files including all development information that was utilized in preparation of the estimates.
  • Proficient in Quantity take off; use Mathematical equations to determine the quantity of material needed by calculating width, length, depth, and density.
  • Review take offs prepared by others to check the completeness and accuracy.
  • Conduct site inspection for tender understanding, analysis of conditions and assessment of risk and identification of activities that may or may not be shown in tender documents.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/QS
  • 4 years of working experience

  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to develop and maintain a successful relationship with all the stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure
