Overview of the role:

To ensure the assigned electrical and mechanical tasks are executed in accordance with the established work procedures and specifications of the Principal, adhering to the designated time standards and maintaining exemplary housekeeping standards, thereby meeting or surpassing the overall objectives of productivity and quality. The role includes the installation and fitting of vehicle accessories in line with new development requirements, as well as the installation and fitting of the vehicle’s exterior, interior, media, and entertainment accessories, tailored to the vehicle type and model.

What you will do:

• Execute assigned jobs according to principle’s established work procedures, specifications and time standards.
• Repair damaged vehicle based on repair standards as per vehicle Repair Manual
• Provide quality workmanship for customer satisfaction.
• Minimise repeat jobs which lead to loss of time and material.
• Request to Team leader to arrange for supplementary parts and labor approval, if needed
• Conduct quality checks as and when necessary.
• Ensure use of safety equipment/gear and follow all safety and environmental conservation procedures
• Ensure cleanliness of the workplace, tools, equipment and of the customer’s car being serviced.
• Inform Team Leader for any abnormality occurred during the operation and initiate for incident report.
• Responsible for carrying out work with care ensuring not to endanger the life either of themselves or others by theirs acts or omissions whilst complying to health and safety requirements of the company and preventing any harm to the environment.
• Planning and scheduling when assigned with multiple jobs and responsibility.
• Ensure vehicles faults are diagnosed appropriately.
• Thorough knowledge of all mechanical/Electrical repair jobs inclusive and not limited to electrical wiring, electrical fault rectification.
• Overhaul, repair and re assembly complex mechanical components
• Identify and correct any wheel alignment problems.
• Complete relevant service documentation in line with dealer’s requirement
• Access & Familiarize the principal’s online repair manual.
• Perform other tasks assigned by immediate superior or manager, if necessary, Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Perform all duties and responsibilities mentioned in the related business SOPs.
• Comply with the ALAC Quality Management System and participate with organization’s improvement activities

Required skills to be successful:

•  Role Requires incubent to Repair all mechanical & electrical related jobs with good efficiency adhering to fix it right first-time policy.
•  Job card write up
•  Basic diagnostic skills with mechanical and electronic faults
•  Multi-brand automotive service center experience in the automotive industry is a must

About the team:
The role will report to the Vendor Manager and you will be working in a busy workshop environment.

What equips you for the role:

•  At least 5 years of experience on car and light commercial vehicles (LCV)
•  UAE clean Driving License is preferable
•  Expert understanding of all car accessories
•  The ability to explain about car accessories to customers if required.
