Material Planner Full Time

Key Accountabilities:

• Schedule and oversee the adequate supply of materials consistent with production schedules to ensure efficient flow of production process.
• Determine material specifications as per production requirements and ensure they are cost-effective and meet the quality standards
• Analyse supply trends and customer demands to create and maintain an inventory schedule in order to facilitate optimum inventory level of materials
• Conduct inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy against agreed target levels
• Monitor materials flow to identify bottlenecks and forecast problems, adjust or schedule changes and cancellations to resolve inventory issues
• Utilise and leverage the SAP planning system to generate demand and maintain accurate process flow
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to share updates on materials, engineering changes, quality issues, production plans, timelines, etc.
• Prepare and provide regular statistical reports to key stakeholders and suggest ways to improve efficiency and performance
• Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets. Identify areas of improvement and suggest continuous improvement initiatives

Experience & Education Qualifications:

• Expertise:

• Minimum: 2-3 years of experience in material planning using SAP as an operating system, inventory management or purchasing.
• Preferred: 5+ years of industry and regional experience in material planning using SAP as an operating system

Minimum Qualification:

• Minimum: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, engineering, or supply chain management
• Preferred: Certified in Association for Operations Management (APICS) / CIPM.
