What You Will Do
- Methodically arrange stock by binning the right part in the right location.
- Ensure the accuracy of parts order quantities to meet business requirements.
- Pick, pack, and deliver the correct parts to all parties.
- Comply with Dealer Management System inventory processes and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Required Skills to Be Successful
- At least 2 years of relevant experience as a Parts Man / Picker.
- Ability to recognize and understand part numbers and alpha/numeric codes, and follow written instructions and documented procedures.
- Basic knowledge of parts catalogues.
- Good physical stamina to stand and walk for the duration of work, and the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials or equipment up to 30 lbs.
About the Team
You will report to the Aftersales Manager and work in a busy workshop environment. You will interact daily with the Workshop Supervisor, Service Advisor, Foreman, and Technicians.
What Equips You for the Role
The ideal candidate should have a high school education or equivalent, with at least 2 years of relevant experience as a Parts Man in the automotive industry. You should be able to recognize and understand part numbers and alpha/numeric codes, follow written instructions and documented procedures, and perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Physical stamina is essential, as you will need to stand and walk for the duration of work and lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials or equipment up to 30 lbs.
