Planning Engineer Full Time

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• • Provide leadership support and guidance to the Production Team with a focus on developing a proactive quality and cost driven organization and culture within a lean production environment.
  • Facilitate S&OP process to review balance between customer demands and operations capability & capacity
  • Analyze back orders, current orders and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule the production properly.
  • Manage resources and staff to meet the production targets.
  • Develop and implement planning tools, processes and techniques for operation department.
  • Develop, implement and continually improve an effective planning and reporting systems.
  • Develop visual performance management to track the progress, monitoring actual output and performance against planned ones for machines, equipment and employees.
  • Identify deviations from the plan and implement corrective actions, to achieve targets and meet customer demand.
  • Establish and implement productive, dynamic working relationships with all operations’ team, maintaining regular associations through meetings and communications.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Recording and reporting the actual progress of the work versus the planned work.
  • Develop and update the weekly and monthly operations plans and reports such as:
  o Planned & Actual Efficiency
  o Load & Capacity Analysis
  o On Time Delivery (OTD)
  o Overall Labor Effectiveness (OLE)
  o Rejection Rates
  o Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
  o Sales and Operations Planning
  o Master Machining Schedule
  o Master Assembly Plan
  o Monthly Target Report “With Dashboard to be shared with the operation team”
  o Daily and Monthly Production Monitoring Report”
  • Identify the project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks and targets to determine the required resources, and allocation of available resources to various phases of the project.
  • Ensure proper monitoring for the progress of the different projects/products on regular basis and provide weekly and monthly reports with respect to review of the overall project.
  • Anticipate, resolve and mitigate problems, bottlenecks and scheduling constrains.
  • Ensure proper collection for all the information necessary for planning.
  • Perform supervisory tasks and evaluations for less experience production employees.
  • Assist in the development of strategic plans for technical and operational activities.
  • Implement and monitor technical and operational short-term plans.
  • Develops schedule evaluation criteria to ensure operation compliance with their contractual obligations.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial/Production/Mechanical /Production/Engineering Management) or equivalent.
  • Planning Certification.
  • PMP, Six Sigma or Lean Production certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge in MRP II (Manufacturing resource planning)
  • Working experience of any ERP systems
  • Expertise with production planning & scheduling Tools
  • 5 years’ experience in Planning, ideally in Production facility.

KEY SKILLS

• Knowledge of methods and techniques of data collection, planning, research, and report preparation.
• English and Arabic language skills (Oral and written)
• Knowledge of methods of administrative, organizational, economic, and procedural analysis.
• Knowledge of principles of supervision, and training.
• Knowledge of ERP processing requirements and software configurations.
• Knowledge of performing analysis and studies.
• Knowledge of communication both orally and in writing
• Knowledge and understanding of engineering principles
