Key Responsibilities:

• Operate assigned machinery according to established procedures and guidelines.
• Operate rubber processing machinery such as mixers, 2-roll mills, and vulcanizers safely and efficiently.
• Monitor production output to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
• Capacity to analyse problems, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions to resolve issues promptly and prevent reoccurrence in rubber processing operations.
• Ensure incoming product/raw materials align with specified quantity and quality standards outlined in work instructions.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal functionality and prevent downtime (including lubrication, cleaning, and adjusting parts) as outlined by the maintenance plan.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with machinery and equipment, making adjustments or repairs as needed.
• Keep detailed records of machine operations, maintenance activities, and production output.
• Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and consumables used in preventive maintenance tasks and report any shortages or replenishment needs.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others (including wearing all PPEs as required).
• Communicate effectively with the maintenance team and production personnel to coordinate maintenance activities and address any equipment-related concerns.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists to analyse test data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Maintain the latest version of all documentation as per requirements (including dates, tasks performed, and any issues identified).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Prepare detailed reports summarizing test findings and analysis and maintain organized records of testing documentation for future reference and audit purposes.

Requirements:

• Minimum Experience: 2 years of relevant experience in Defense, Materials or Rubber industry.
• Preferred Experience: 2 years of experience in Rocket Motor Ablation Materials.
• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.
