Tooling & Straightening Engineer Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborating production teams to ensure that tools and processes are optimized for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness and ensure designs meet specifications.
• Responsible for the design, development and implementation of tooling and straightening processes to support manufacturing operations.
• Troubleshooting existing tooling and straightening processes and implementing improvements to enhance performance.
• Design and develop tooling, dies, jigs, and fixtures for manufacturing processes.
• Develop and optimize straightening processes for metal components to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Design and implement straightening fixtures and equipment.
• Develop and implement maintenance plans for tooling and straightening equipment.
• Create and maintain documentation for tooling designs, straightening processes, and maintenance procedures.
• Prepare reports on tooling performance, process improvements, and cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all tooling and straightening activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or equivalent
• Process Engineering Software
• CNC Programs – Catia V5 and Siemens NX
• Machining Process of Metallic Components
• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication
• Analytical, Organizational & Technical Skills
• Problem Solving (5 Why, Ishikawa, A3)
• Aerospace and Quality Standards

Experience

• +5 years of relevant experience in the aerospace or automotive industries or Metallic Manufacturing industry AS9100 Standards.
• Experience using CATIA V5 and/or Siemens NX.
• Demonstrated track record of implementing process improvement to enhance efficiency, eliminate waste and reduce costs.
• Familiarity with non-conformance processes.
