Job Description
A Cathodic protection technologist, well versed in the practices and principles of corrosion; chemical, metallurgical, physical, and mechanical properties of materials. Well-experienced in Design, installation and commissioning of Permanent (ICCP) & temporary(Sacrificial anode) CP Systems for Pipelines, Tanks and concrete structure.
Duties & Responsibilities
-Provide technical support to projects and other disciplines within the company with regard to Cathodic Protection (CP).
-Pre-commissioning & Commissioning of Cathodic Protection Systems. FAT/SAT/ Commissioning report generation for TR & other PSU & of whole CP System.
-Revision of all the designs from the vendors before implementation and providing necessary feedback for compliance and improvement of system
-Be the single point of contact for project teams for cathodic protection.
-Participate in meeting with Clients, Vendors and Suppliers, and interface with Client representatives as required for resolving technical issues
-Provide support to fabrication and installation teams, Quality, and Supply Chain Management (SCM) departments.
-Ensures effective communication is maintained with Clients, Suppliers, and other disciplines within the organisation.”
Job Requirements
– Degree qualified in a recognised engineering or science related discipline.
– NACE CP Certified
– Minimum 12 years’ successful corrosion practitioner experience in the oil and gas or related.”
