Design Lead Full Time

We envisage success in this role to include;

• Practical experience in early design phases such as conceptual and schematic design.
• Providing solutions to resolve complex design issues that are technical in nature.
• Reviewing the work of consultants for coordination purposes with the Project Manager or Project Architect.
• Advising the design team on technical issues influencing design, coordinating with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers and regulatory agencies.
• Assisting in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting staff.
• Organising the work for design team and design reviews as per project schedule
• Reporting to the Design Director in a timely and accurate manner.
• Promoting a ‘design culture’ with colleagues.
• Preparation of presentation documents with outstanding narrative and graphics.

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 10+ years of relevant work experience within a renowned architecture or design office, partnered with a Bachelor / Master degree in Architecture, Master planning, Design or relevant field from an accredited University or College program.

• Strong conceptual, graphic and design talent.
• Strong Narrative and Storytelling skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively respond to sensitive issues, complex queries or complaints.
• Proven track record of success in maintaining and growing client relationships for business results.
• Strong AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Suite skills, knowledge of Revit would be an advantage.
• Experience working on large scale international projects.
• Confidence in working in a complex and international environment.
• Understanding of MENA cultural environment and market.
• An understanding of arts, graphics, social media and contemporary trends.
