MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To perform sonography diagnostic examinations for patients in line with company standards and regulatory requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
Perform routine sonography procedures within set guidelines and in accordance with regulatory requirements
Provide professional guidance, care and support to patients
Maintain patient records according to policy and statutory requirements
Ensure patient safety principles and practices are complied with in line with patient care standards
Ensure equipment calibration and maintenance functions are performed
REQUIRED EDUCATION
A Bachelor’s Degree in Radiology or Medical Imaging from an accredited institution
A post graduate qualification in sonography or ultrasound
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
At least 2 years’ relevant experience in sonography
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Current clinical knowledge of radiology practices, industry trends and technologies
- Evaluation of diagnostic sonograms, laboratory results, and patient history and medical records
- Verbal and written communication skills in English.
