Project Construction Engineer  Full Time

Project: 2 Storey Hotel

Location: Mauritania

Duration: Project Based, minimum of 1 year

We are seeking an experienced Project Construction Engineer with a proven track record of successfully managing and delivering construction projects. Skilled in coordinating with stakeholders, conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

• Managing and supervising all the daily activities (civil and MEP) of project’s construction and ensure compliance to all plans and specifications.
• Preparing all site surveys and setting out site.
• Checking technical designs and drawings for accuracy and to ensure that they are followed correctly.
• Supervising contracted staff.
• Ensuring project packages meet agreed specifications, budgets and/or timescales.
• Liaising with project´s parties, subcontractors, local authority employees, RE.
• Providing technical advice and solving problems on site.
• Preparing site reports and logging progress.
• Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to.
• Organizing materials and ensuring sites are safe and clean.
• Ensure that used Materials, Shop drawings, Method Statements, Equipment and Teams of Labors are approved before commencement of the work.
• Inspecting Materials provided by Suppliers and Sub-contractors and their Programs in compliance with approved samples and documents.
• Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available.
• Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment as required.
• Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best contracts.
• Authorizing technical drawings and engineering plans.
• Drawing up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to crew members and RE.

Qualifications : Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering

Experience and Skills:

• Minimum of 7-10 years practical experience in Civil and MEP Engineering and Construction works;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English – verbal and written, Arabic will be advantage.
• Strong team player
• Using AutoCAD, Microsoft, Excel, word…etc.
