Responsibilities

• Ensure PUI and consent form are complete and signed
• Obtain all required information (Full address, contact detail, occupation, residency info, employer,)
• Avoid duplicate file by searching through Medical record index, MPI Desktop
• Maintain an employee database and their useful information in an accurate manner.
• Ensure correct patient label placed on the correct document.
• Ensure correct patient identification (Full name and date of birth)
• Registers new patients, make sure pre-registration form is completed and signed and an approved ID (Emirate ID or Passport) is collected.
• Update customer data through registration.
• Review data deficiencies or errors, correct incompatibilities if possible.
• Check the data for accuracy and sort it according to the source documents.
• Verify and update data before entering it in the database.
• Prepare the backup of all the data and information during down time
• Follow company policies and comply with data integrity.
• Keep confidential information securely.
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks ensuring effective functioning of the area.
• Follows the chain of command in reporting incidents or concerns.
• Prioritizes workload and completes correspondence in a timely manner.
• Provides information to prospective customers and hospital staff by answering all specific inquiries regarding patients’ queries.
• Ensures safe working environment through strict compliance with Hospital Policy and Procedure regarding safety, infection and security.
• Answers phone call in a polite and cordial manner. Maintains proper telephone etiquette.
• Adheres to the hospital policy HPP-206 “Identification of Patient” during appointment booking, registration and cashier process.
• Check daily report efficiency 4 times a day ensure matching against reports.
• Informs patient about billing details
• Handling patient complaints and address it to the concerned PRR Coordinator or Supervisor in a timely manner without delay.
• Ensure to drop the collected revenue without discrepancies
• Assists in orientation of new staff member.
• Facilitates efficient receptionist function by consulting and communicating with all co-workers.
• Ensure that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean & organized at all time.
• Demonstrates adequate Medical Terminology.
• Reports equipment failure, safety and security issues, and or/reduction of supply inventory to PRR Supervisor/Coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Graduate

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• Excellent English and Arabic verbal/written communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy
• Exposure to / experience with customer service principles
• Exposure to / experience with CQI / JCI principles
• Previous cashier experience, preferable.
