Project Engineer  Full Time

Job Purpose

The Project Engineer will be responsible for the technical aspects of solar projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety , also coordinate with various teams, including engineering, construction, and procurement, to successfully deliver solar energy systems.

Job Responsibilities

• Planning : Developing & Tracking the Projects Plan includes Schedule and Resource Budget for the entire course of the Project Duration.
• Cost & Time : Completion of Project within allotted Time & Budget.
• Project Invoicing: Attaining the project Invoicing as per Plan with Client.
• Design Coordination:  Conduct site assessments to determine the suitability for solar installations. Overseeing the Design, Engineering aspects of solar energy systems  includes Liaising with all Project stake Holders,  providing Crucial inputs  for Design,  engineering,    to ensure  generation of effective  coordinated drawings. Ensuing compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• NOC & permits: Obtaining necessary Permits and approvals for Solar Projects includes design and Field works from Concern Authorities.
• Procurement :Liaising with supply chain department for procurement process for Materials & Equipment required for Solar Projects. This includes assisting Supply chain on sourcing, negotiating to ensure timely delivery of  Materials & appointment of subcontractors for the project.
• Construction : Managing Supervision of Installation works of  solar energy system on multiple projects ,  carried out in house as well as subcontracted  works.
• Inspection & testing : Conducting site Inspection ,  Performance testing  /  commissioning of Solar energy system in accordance to Authority requirements ensuring proper functionality and Performance. Oversee system integration and commissioning, ensuring compliance with electrical, mechanical, and environmental standards.
• Quality Control : Implementation of QA/AC procedure to ensure the solar energy system are installed and commissioned according to Design standards and Specifications.
• Risk Management:  Identifying the potential Risks and developing mitigation Strategies’ to minimize project delays and Cost over runs.
• Project Documentation : Maintaining Project documentation includes correspondence , drawings , specifications and Reports and submission of Regular Project Progress Report to Project stake holders and Project Manager. Ensure proper documentation of technical issues and resolutions
• Problem-Solving:Troubleshoot technical issues during the project lifecycle and propose effective solutions.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical /renewable Engineering.

Experience

• Minimum 3 to 4 years of Project /Site management experience in Solar projects commercial warehouses , factories ,  and industrial buildings.

Knowledge & Skills

• Project Management including scheduling, Budgeting, Controlling, Risk management and Resource allocation.
• Strong technical knowledge of solar systems, including solar panels, inverters, batteries, and electrical systems. Solar Energy system. Fundamentals of Solar  Energy , basic electrical systems , wring inverters , power electronics & electrical safety,  Regulations and standards, Understanding mechanical systems , Structural considerations , mounting systems, Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications Strong technical knowledge of solar systems, including solar panels, inverters, batteries, and electrical systems,  Understanding of local electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
